Deputies find meth after high speed chase in Osage County
LINN - The Osage County Sheriff's Office said Friday deputies arrested a man in possession of suspected meth after a high speed chase.
Deputies were on their way to an unrelated call Thursday evening when a sports car began driving recklessly. The deputies began pursuing the car, driven by Jay Brummond, 56, of Chamois. The sheriff's office said deputies chased Brummond for over five miles, before stopping him on Highway 89 North at county road 274.
Deputies located what they suspected to be crystal methamphetamine and illegal paraphernalia. They arrested Brummond for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, and resisting arrest. They transported him to the Osage County Jail.
