BOONE COUNTY - Deputies said they've made no arrests and three suspects are on the loose after a burglary in the El Chaparral subdivision Sunday.

Deputies said suspects stole "numerous items of value" after breaking into a home in the 1700 block of El Chaparral Avenue Sunday afternoon. According to the news release, witnesses reported two suspects entering the home while a third served as a lookout, and all three ran away when the homeowner returned.

Boone County sheriff's deputies and a K9 unit were initially able to track the suspects and the report said deputies were able to recover some of the stolen property that the suspects had "discarded in a wooded area." However, the report said they eventually lost track of the suspects in the New Haven Meadows subdivision.

The Boone County Sheriff's Department is urging anyone with information about the incident to call (573) 875-1111 or Crime Stoppers at (573) 875-TIPS.
