He remains on administrative leave pending an investigation by the Highway Patrol. Lieutenant Rick Harrell tells the Hannibal Courier-Post that several threats have been made. The deputy tried to pull over a pickup driven by 22-year-old Tyler Teasley. After a brief chase, the truck pulled onto a residential driveway, and the deputy pulled behind it. The deputy told investigators he fired two rounds into the pickup when it rolled toward him. In addition to Teasley, passenger Michael Brown Junior was killed. Relatives of the victims say Teasley simply failed to engage the parking break.
