Doctor Sings Rhythmic Tunes
Ted Willmore is an emergency room physician at St. Marys Health Center in Jefferson City. He's seen his share of nose bleeds and abnormal heart rhythms, but his music has a different rhythm.
Dr. Willmore works to the beat of medical music.
It started when Willmore made up songs poking fun at senior residents for their graduation. And, with that same energy, he expanded into medical songs.
Willmore said, "The initial audience I had in mind was practicing physicians. And then I thought, 'Well, medical students would be good for those who are interested in this.' My nurses, a lot of them, have really loved it."
But his biggest fan is his toddler, Zachery.
What's even more fascinating is Willmore has a recording studio in the basement of his house and has released a CD called "Brain Warmups."
Now this fatherly physician and medical mix-master is creating a new music rotation, called "Doc Rock."
