RICHMOND, VA - Carl Edwards got the pole for Friday night's Bubba Burger 250 at Richmond International raceway making it his fourth pole of the Nationwide Series. Edwards ran 125.046 mph to beat Sam Hornish Jr., who ran a surprising lap of 124.844 mph as the last qualifier.

"We're going to keep digging and have a good time," said Edwards, who isn't eligible to win the Nationwide Series and is running it due to contract obligations after NASCAR brought on a new set of rules this season. Drivers who run multiple series must pick which one they want to run and be championship eligible. Edwards won the former Busch Series Championship, now Nationwide Series, in 2007.
