Eighth Suspect in Hobson Murder Arrested
COLUMBIA - Patrick Rashad Marshall, 18, of St.Louis, Missouri was identified by Columbia Police investigators as the eighth suspect in the October 23rd robbery and murder of 22 year old Aaron Hobson. Hobson was shot and killed onthe parking lot of the Break Time Convenience Store at 110 East Nifong Boulevard in Columbia.
According to the passenger in the victim's vehicle, the victim and passenger were approached by several black males who demanded the victim's money. After the victim was shot, several suspects, including Marshall, ran from the area.
Marshall was identified by viewing the video surveillance footage from the business where this incident occurred, and also by several co-defendants as being involved.
Investigators obtained a warrant for Marshall for Robbery in the Second Degree and Murder in the Second Degree. Investigators searched for Marshall for several months but were unable to locate him.
On 2/16/11 around 1:55 pm Marshall and his attorney arrived at the Columbia Police Department. Marshall turned himself in on the outstanding warrant and was taken into custody. Marshall's bond was set at one million dollars, cash only.
Investigators are not seeking any other suspects at this time.
