ELDON - Lawsuits in Eldon have led to a hearing Thursday morning at the Tuscumbia courthouse. Residents are filing suits against the city for high wayer and utility rates. One plaintiff in the case says the city said it had a shortfall of $175,000 and its billing 20 people for virtual meters that don't exists. A judge ruled in favor of the city's motion to dismiss the lawsuit back in November, then gave the plaintiff 30 days to file an amended petition.
