Everybody Wonders About Future as Half of Big 12 on Off Week
DALLAS (AP) -- With half the Big 12 heading into an off week, there are more questions about the league's future. Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops and Texas' Mack Brown insists their focus is on what's happening on the field. Of course, they both know their teams will be fine no matter what happens.
Kansas coach Turner Gill said Monday on the coaches' conference call that he's got faith that the Big 12 "will be standing strong at some point in time," even if nobody knows how it will shake out.
Oklahoma's president has said the Sooners will decide soon if they will go to another conference or stick with the Big 12. Texas A&M has already said it's leaving.
