Ex-KC Principal Accused of Theft Has Contract Job
KANSAS CITY - A former Kansas City school district principal who was charged with stealing $58,000 from a student
activity fund is an administrator at a school run by a district contractor.
Missouri State Auditor Tom Schweich says he is "a little perplexed" by the pending case against former Lincoln College Preparatory Academy principal Jamia Dock. The case is one of the problems cited in an audit released Tuesday on the troubled district's operations.
The 36-year-old Dock no longer works for the Kansas City School District. But she is a site administrator for the Afrikan Centered Education Collegium Campus. She oversees the school's upper campus, which serves ninth- to 12th-graders. A contractor runs the school.
Messages left for Dock and her attorney weren't immediately returned.
