Expectant Mothers Get Help from Churchill Museum
FULTON - The National Churchill Museum has teamed up in November with a group that donates infant items to the expectant mothers in military families. The museum is collecting from visitors and members of the community for Operation Shower. So far donors have brought in stuffed animals and hand sewn baby bibs. The museum also hopes to receive infant toys, rattles, teething rings, towels, and washcloths before next year.
"We will be collecting donated baby show items up until January 1 of next year," said Mandy Plybon, of the museum staff.
As of now, the museum plans to take all of the donations to Operation Shower in St. Louis on January 8.
Donations may be brought anytime to the National Churchill Museum on the campus of Westminster College. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.
