Explosives found during burglary investigation
HANNIBAL (AP) - Four suspects faced charges Friday morning after drugs, stolen goods and a military explosive device were allegedly found inside a northeast Missouri home.
The Hannibal Courier-Post reported police went to a Hannibal home Tuesday as part of a burglary investigation. Officers said they found four suspects hiding, along with the missing items, drugs, drug paraphernalia and a military-grade explosive device.
Army personnel from Fort Leonard Wood were able to destroy the device without incident.
One of the suspects, 23-year-old Gregory Flowers, was charged with burglary, armed criminal action, being a felon in possession of a firearm, resisting arrest and drug counts. The others, two 17-year-olds and an 18-year-old, faced drug and resisting arrest charges.
Three children were also inside the home and were placed in custody of the state.
