Final Day for Tiger Tailgate Lot
COLUMBIA - Saturday was the end of "The Jungle's" first season. It is the official student tailgate spot that opened this Fall on campus. MU decided to no longer host tailgates at its old spot, near Reactor Field.
After a slow start, "The Jungle" organizers decided to accept reservations from individual students, and not just student organizations. The lot then saw more tailgates. However, cooler weather and an early game time led to a quiet lot Saturday.
"I think it's because it's cold and it's the last game and I think people kind of, after homecoming, homecoming was so big and everybody did so much people are just ready to go on break, ready to get out of here," student Lanee Bridewell said.
Bridewell says this is the first time her student group has reserved a spot at "The Jungle." She said regardless of less than expected turnout during the year, "The Jungle" is still a good idea.
