Final weekend of state fair includes big name performances
SEDALIA - The final weekend of the Missouri State Fair was set to get underway Friday with big names set to take the Pepsi grandstand.
Alabama was set to perform Friday night with opener Michael Ray. Fair representatives said, to date, Alabama band holds the record for most consecutive No. 1 hits with 21 chart topping releases. Michael Ray's debut single "Kiss You in the Morning" was released in February.
Friday's schedule also includes a bull riding competition and multiple magic shows.
Saturday was set to play host to performances by The Fray and Andy Grammer.
Sunday, the final day of the fair, would see the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car National Tour Series.
General admission to the fair is $10 for adults, $2 for kids ages 6-12, $7 for adults 60 or older, and free for kids younger than 5. Admission to special events, like concerts, requires seperate tickets.
