Firefighters Respond to Grease Fire

JEFFERSON CITY - Firefighters responded to a small house fire in Jefferson City Saturday afternoon. Jefferson City Fire Chief deemed it a grease fire and said the owners were cooking when the fire started. The main damage is in the kitchen with very little smoke damage to the rest of the house and no water damage. No one was injured in the fire. Firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly and finished in about a half hour.
