First 2 candidates for SEMO president visit Wednesday
CAPE GIRARDEAU (AP) - Two of the four finalists for president of Southeast Missouri State University will be on campus Wednesday.
Margaret Madden, provost and vice president for academic affairs at State University of New York at Potsdam, will conduct her visit in one day. Paul Plotkowski, founding dean of Padnos College of Engineering & Computing at Grand Valley State University, will be on campus Wednesday and Thursday.
The other candidates, Carlos Vargas-Aburto and Benjamin Ola. Akande, will have campus visits next week. Vargas-Aburto is acting president of Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. He will be on campus Feb. 23-24.
Ola. Akande is dean of George Herbert Walker School of Business Technology at Webster University in St. Louis and chief of the university's Office of Corporate Partnerships. He will be on campus Feb. 25-26.
