Florist Work Over Time To Prep for Monday
COLUMBIA - It's down to just two days before the big day and local flower shops are stepping up their game to complete all their orders. Florists at Allen's Flowers in Columbia say long hours of preparation go into Valentine's Day. They began ordering vases and prepping orders six weeks ago.
"We are going to work all weekend. And Sunday night we are going to stay here until they are all made. And right now we have a stack that tall. So we have close to 300 some odd, just for Monday," said Tina Bradley from Allen's Flowers.
But if you are behind and haven't had the time to order flowers for your special someone Bradley says not to worry, you'll still be able to order flowers, but just may not have their full selection.
