Former Cardinal Pitcher Bob Forsch Dead at 61
ST. LOUIS - Former pitcher, Bob Forsch, has died from an apparent heart attack.
Bob Forsch, 61, recently Forsch threw out the first pitch during Game 7 of the 2011 World Series at Busch Stadium.
Forsch made his Major League debut with the Cardinals in 1974. He threw two no-hitters while with the club. The first happened in 1978 against the Philadelphia Phillies and the second happened in 1983 against the Montreal Expos.
He pitched for the National League Champion Cardinals in 1985 and 1987 and the 1982 World Series Champion team.
