Former Mizzou wrestler prepares for World Championships

COLUMBIA - Former Mizzou Wrestling standout J'den Cox will compete at the Senior World Championships in Budapest, Hungary from October 20-28.

Cox earned a bronze medal in both the 2016 Olympics and the 2017 World Championships.

While at Mizzou, Cox won three national championships in the 197 lb. weight class. He was also a four-time All-American.

Cox will be competing in a newly created weight class, 92 kg, which is roughly 202 lbs. He will be going up against a field that consists of four former Olympic medalists.

First round competition in the 92 kg weight class begins Sunday, October 21 at 3:30 am CT.
