Former State Rep. Judy Baker running for state treasurer
COLUMBIA - Former Missouri State Rep. Judy Baker (D-Columbia) formally launched her campaign for state treasurer Monday.
Baker's campaign said she will run under the banner of "Make Change." It said she will "seek to make Missouri’s money work for everybody, not just a few."
The campaign touted numerous endorsements from fellow Missouri Democrats, including St. Louis Treasurer Tishaura Jones and Columbia State Reps. Kip Kendrick and Stephen Webber.
Baker represented the 25th district in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2005-2009. She then served as a regional director of the Department of Health and Human Services from 2009-2011. She now serves as the managing partner for a consulting firm and has served as CEO for various businesses.
