The Callaway County Sheriff's Department arrived to find a bullet hole in the window of a white pick-up truck and former MU football player Thomson Omboga with a bullet lodged in his head. Omboga survived the gunshot wound, and paramedics took him to St. Mary's Hospital. Omboga's girlfriend says he was not involved in the fight. He was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
"Some people had some guns and they were kind of just trying to show off and unfortunately he was in the way and got hit," said Ashley Jones.
University Hospital already released Omboga. They decided not to remove the bullet from Omboga's head to avoid serious bleeding.
