Fox district names new superintendent
ARNOLD (AP) - The Fox School District in suburban St. Louis has chosen an administrator from another St. Louis-area district for its superintendent.
The school board voted unanimously Tuesday to hire Jim Wipke, who works at the Rockwood School District. His two-year contract at Fox starts July 1.
Wipke is pledging to create a culture of trust and teamwork. He will earn $175,000 the first year, then receive a raise of up to 5 percent.
Earlier this year, negative comments about district critics on a Topix website were traced to the home of former Superintendent Dianne Critchlow and her husband, along with other administrators. Critchlow retired in June but denied involvement in the comments. Her husband was fired from his district job as director of an alternative school.
