Fulton crews battle fire at family home
FULTON — Fulton firefighters battled a house fire on Vine Street Saturday afternoon, extinguishing heavy flames in the single-story home with an "aggressive attack," according to a news release.
Everyone inside, people and animals alike, made it out safely.
The Fulton Fire Department's first crew arrived around 4 p.m., followed by additional support from the Central Callaway Fire Protection District. Police officers worked to control crowds and traffic while an ambulance arrived for stand-by support.
According to the news release, the fire was accidental — caused by a "cooking fire on the back deck."
