Fulton Residents Take Class for Computer Skills
FULTON - Learning how to use a computer may seem like second-nature to some people but not all. The Callaway County Public Library in Fulton offers self-guided classes for residents to learn basic computer skills. The name of the class is Self-Guided Computer Tutorials and helps participants learn things ranging from using a computer mouse to using data in Microsoft Excel. It is open to anyone on Thursdays between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m.
The class uses a computer program that gives audio and visual instruction on how to use specific programs. Participants complete lessons on the computer program and take quizzes to check their progress. The class is built for each person to learn on his or her pace.
A library facilitator helps participants with any questions about the lessons or the computer program itself. The lessons are available without a facilitator any time the library is open.
Beyond the self-guided course, the library offers other computer classes that help with useful skills like how to fill out an online job application and downloading made easy. For more information about these offerings, please click here.
