Fulton School District proposes updating entire school system
FULTON - The Fulton School District is planning a total makeover for all schools within its system.
In a school board meeting on October 17, the board discussed the proposed renovations. All schools will get an updated security system. The high school will get a new gym and the middle school will add eight additional classrooms.
“We’re looking at space across the district." Cowherd said. "Everything we’ve done has focused on creating additional student space.”
“It’s kind of nice to have two gyms," Cowherd said. "You can play both men's and women's [basketball teams] on one night at similar times.”
The architect group behind this, Hollis+Miller, are based in Kansas City. The group said the new additions are expected to be long-term changes.
"[We plan to] create and implement a clear Long Range Facilities Plan identifying high priority opportunities that will benefit the district and its students for years to come," said Justin Durham, Client Leader with Architect with Hollis+Miller.
