FULTON - Downtown Fulton hosted the annual Fulton Street Fair Friday as people showed up in droves to take part in the activites.

Friday's festivities featured everything from rides and vendors to contests and live music. Local band Project Hysteria kicked off tonight's list of live acts, covering songs from bands such as Green Day and Steppenwolf. Other events ranged from the fair's famous mule derby to a button drawing for prizes.

The fair continues Saturday starting at noon, but early risers can run or walk a 5k at 8:45 a.m. The fair closes at 10 p.m. with a bang: fireworks over downtown Fulton.
