Governor appoints new 13th Circuit Court judge
COLUMBIA - Gov. Eric Greitens has appointed Brouck Jacobs, of Columbia, as the new judge for the 13th Circuit Court.
Jacobs has been a prosecuting attorney for nearly 10 years, according to a press release. He has worked in the Boone County prosecutor's office as an assistant prosecuting attorney and also had a private practice.
Jacobs attended Florida A&M University and the University of Florida. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the Daniel Boone Regional Library, Columbia Public Library and The Crossing.
“As a prosecutor, he has worked tirelessly to promote justice and has served with integrity," Greitens said. "I am pleased to appoint him as the newest circuit judge for the 13th Judicial Circuit and look forward to him serving for years to come.”
Jacobs will replace Christine Carpenter, who retired earlier this year.
