Groups Thankful Nazis are Gone
During the march Columbia streets were filled with up to 400 people protesting, resulting in seven people being arrested.
Now the streets are a place of dialog.
"It was nice to see the residents could come out and act peacefully in a setting where a lot of non-peaceful activities could go on," said MU student Matt Zellner.
"I don't think it was good at all that they came. I think it was so wrong and I think what they talked about was just hideous," said MU student Abby Thomason. "It was horrible."
So while the National Socialist Movement came to town in the spirit of hate, in the wake of its departure, all that remains is a town more aware of discrimination.
"Perhaps this is a good wake-up call to us that we should not let it creep up on us," Hull explained.
