Health Fair Educates and Provides Care
COLUMBIA - Columbia families got a chance to check in with more than 40 health experts for free at the Healthy Families Fun Fair on Saturday.
More than 400 people turned out at the Stoney Creek Inn Conference Center for an opportunity to learn about living healthier.
Health experts ran eye tests for more than 100 children and tested more than 50 seniors for glaucoma.
Fair organizer Sean Spence says the fair helps people identify problems they may not have known about otherwise.
"Every aspect of the human body was tested today and people found resources to improve their health and help them enjoy their lives more," Spence says.
Spence says he hopes the health fair will return for its second health fair next year.
