Jeff City police looking for suspect who fired shots at teenagers
JEFFERSON CITY - Jefferson City police were looking for a suspect Tuesday after someone shot at four teenagers Monday night.
The Jefferson City Police Department said officers found four shell casings in the road in the 1100 block of West McCarty Monday around 10:45 p.m. JCPD said it received several calls from people in the area who said they heard four to five gunshots. A witness also said subjects ran from the area after the shots were fired.
Police said the subjects the witness saw leaving the area were the victims the suspect shot at. The victims were four males aged 17, 18 and two 14-year-olds. They said a car drove by and the people inside talked to them. One suspect inside the car fired several shots at the guys, but didn't hit anyone.
