Jefferson City Father Shoots Son in Foot

JEFFERSON CITY - A domestic disturbance between a father and son led to a shooting early Sunday morning, according to a news release issued by the Jefferson City Police Department. Police learned of the nature of the disturbance when they responded to a call of a shooting victim at a local hospital. Jefferson City SWAT and the Crisis Negotiations Team were sent to a residence at the 4700 block of Leandra Lane after the suspect didn't respond to Police's attempts to make contact.

The suspect was taken into custody after an hour of negotiations. The victim, a 24 year old Jefferson City male recieved a serious gunshot wound to his foot, and is in stable condition.
