Jefferson City funeral director charged for sex crimes
JEFFERSON CITY - Jefferson City Police said a funeral director was in police custody Friday for sex crimes against a minor.
28-year-old Tyler Woods was charged for supplying alcohol to a minor, sexual abuse, endangering the welfare of a child and child molestation.
KOMU 8 News received a probable cause statement from the Jefferson City Police department that said police received a call about Woods supplying alcohol to a minor in November.
Officers said they contacted the victim's mother who said her daughter worked for Wood November 6. She said her daughter came home intoxicated after working with him.
JCPD said it interviewed the victim November 15. She told police Woods filled a cup with alcohol, and offered to pay her $100 for drinking the cup, and continued to make bets. She said she eventually passed out from the alcohol. She said she awoke to him touching her breast, and when she pushed him away, he continued to touch her thigh and vaginal area. She said Woods took her home after she demanded to be taken home.
The statement also said police spoke to a witness who said they talked on the phone with Woods about providing the victim with alcohol.
