Jefferson City Man Arrested For Fighting With Officer
Jefferson City - A Jefferson City man is facing charges Thursday after authorities say he resisted arrest and fought with an officer during a traffic stop.
Quentin Davis, 47, was pulled over in the 900 block of Rock Hill Road for driving carelessly on Wednesday afternoon. Police say Davis appeared agitated and refused an order to stay in his car. When the officer tried to put the man in handcuffs police said he fought back.
A total of four citizens stepped in to help the officer. One woman used the police radio to call for backup. Davis was arrested after other officers arrived on the scene.
Davis is facing several charges including felony resisting arrest and assault on an officer. The citizens and the officer suffered minor injuries.
