Jefferson City man arrested in arson fire that injured firefighter
JEFFERSON CITY - A Jefferson City man has been charged with arson after a fire injured a firefighter and destroyed a home Sunday.
Jefferson City Police arrested James Stude, 31, for allegedly setting a fire at 1207 East McCarty Street around 1:40 a.m.
According to investigators, Stude started the fire in the kitchen with ignitable liquid that spread throughout the house.
The firefighter fell, but was not seriously injured, as walls and floors collapsed in the home.
