Jefferson City man pleads guilty in Halloween 2016 murder
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — A 21-year-old man charged in the death of a Jefferson City man on Halloween 2016 pleaded guilty on the day his trial was scheduled to begin.
Terrance Wynn, of Jefferson City, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and other charges in the death of 29-year-old Terrance Davis. Wynn was originally charged with first-degree murder.
The Jefferson City News-Tribune reports Davis was found lying in the street with two gunshot wounds. Video cameras in the area recorded two men approaching Davis and one of them shooting him. Police say the men walked away but then came back and shot Davis again as he was lying on the ground.
Wynn also pleaded guilty Monday to second-degree assault and other charges in an unrelated shooting before Davis was killed.
