Jefferson City Pedestrian Injured
JEFFERSON CITY - A pedestrian is in critical condition after a car struck him on Ellis Boulevard in Jefferson City at approximately 4:16 a.m. Sunday. Stephen Grohs, 18, of Holts Summit, Mo. was driving eastbound when he hit Arnulfo Antele, 25, of Jefferson City. According to a press release from the Jefferson City Police Department, Antele was lying in the roadway at the time of the accident.
Rescue workers transported Antele to Capital Region Hospital in Jefferson City for treatment. They later transferred him to University Hospital in Columbia. Grohs was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and he did not sustain any injuries.
