Judges Vote Down Separate Gun Court in St. Louis
ST. LOUIS (AP) - Circuit judges in St. Louis have voted against a plan to set up a dedicated court for gun violence, but say they'll make gun crimes a top priority.
Mayor Francis Slay and Police Chief Sam Dotson have been vocal proponents of a dedicated gun court. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that circuit judges voted against the arrangement on Monday.
Judges say they will give priority in all divisions to cases involving gun crimes.
