KC Police Arrest Boone County Man Wanted in Triple Shooting
BOONE COUNTY - Kansas City police officers along with FBI agents arrested 27-year-old Christopher Dwayne Brown on Tuesday at a home in Kansas City. Brown is a convicted felon charged with shooting three people on Gregory Drive in Boone County back in September.
Brown is currently being held in the Jackson County Jail with no bond. According to the Boone County Sheriff's Department, officials are expected to transport Brown back to Boone County within the next few days.
The orginial incident happened on the morning of September 22 when Boone County deputies responded to an incident on the 5900 block of Gregory Drive. There deputies found two victims with gunshot wounds including a 24-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman. Columbia police officers later found a third victim with gunshot wounds, a 27-year-old man, in a parked vehicle on Lawnridge Drive.
Since this incident, all three victims have been released from the hospital. The department believes the shootings happened as a result of a domestic disturbance between the suspect and the victims.
