KC Police Shoot Man After Suspected Carjacking
KANSAS CITY (AP) - A carjacking suspect has been hospitalized with critical injuries after he was shot by Kansas City police officers.
Officers were responding early Monday to a reported armed carjacking outside a convenience store when the shooting occurred.
The Kansas City Star reports that Chief Darryl Forte said on Twitter that the suspect's injuries are life-threatening. The officers weren't hurt in the shooting.
Police say two officers fired at the suspect, hitting him multiple times. A third officer was at the scene.
