Last Minute Shoppers
One man says he doesn't mind procrastinating.
"I have to do some last minute shopping and get stocking stuffers," shopper Mark Parson says. "And I have three brothers and it is very hard to figure out what to get."
Parson wasn't the only one buying gifts at the last minute. When the Columbia Mall opened its doors at 6 this morning, there were people standing by to do their holiday shopping.
Shopper Carmen Jones said she waited until today "just to enjoy the last minute hype with the holiday season."
And all of the stores in the mall were ready for the crowds. Even kiosks opened early because business is particularly good for them.
"Christmas season, is our best season," said Jordan Parshell of "Embroider It."
And downtown the movement was much slower, but there were still plenty of people buying last minute gifts. The flow of people during the last couple of days has been never-ending , and local stores can't keep up with the demand.
"It is extremely busy in fact, we have had a lot of people come through and it is really hard to get everything for everybody," said Jacob Kruger, a "Slackers" employee. Especially if that someone wants a Play Station 3.
