Lawmakers OK Plan for Chrysler
State, county and local governments have pledged 54 million dollars worth of various tax incentives for the one billion plant. The state split its contributions between job training and industrial development bonds.The House voted today to approve the issuance of the bonds. The plant, located in the home district of Republican Senate President Pro Tem Michael Gibbons, must keep current employment levels for the next three years. The bill now goes to the governor.
