Leak causes water outage for residents near Gillespie Bridge Road
BOONE COUNTY - A leak in a water main caused a water outage for residents in a subdivision west of Scott Boulevard near Gillespie Bridge Road and Johnmeyer Lane.
A boil advisory will be issued for residents in the area and in effect until Wednesday morning.
Boone County Consolidated Public Water Supply District 1 said hundreds of residents are impacted.
Affected areas include: Bainbridge Court, Bellview Drive, Bethany Dr., Brampton Lane, Brookview Terrace, 4001-5200 Brushwood Lake Road, Celtic Dr., Coats Ln., Country Hill Ct., Crestview Dr., Druid Ln., Forest Glen Dr., east of 6800 Gillespie Bridge Rd., Johnmeyer Ln., Normandy Ln., North Pinebrook Ln., north of 5301 Scott Blvd., South Pinebrook Ln. and Southview Dr.
Some residents have already regained water supply, while there is no expected time for when others will get their water back.
This is the second outage in the Columbia area within the week since Friday's outage that impacted 3,500 people in Boone County Public Water Supply District 9.
