Liberty Man Cannot Be Charged for Sex Crime
LIBERTY (AP) - Authorities say they can't charge a former Liberty man with raping two step-daughters and making them pregnant ten times. Clay County prosecutors said too much time has passed to charge the 59-year-old man, who moved away from the Liberty home years ago. Last week police dug up a driveway in search of signs that a newborn had been buried there, but found nothing. The women say their step-father repeatedly had sex with them in the 1970s, '80s and '90s.
