Living in Boxes for Charity
This is Jim Buell's box, his new home for the week. Buell will stay here with other members of the MU campus chapter of Habitat for Humanity to help raise money for the charity.
The students will spend the entire week outside in the same conditions people that live outside face. Although this week will be tough, Jim realizes there is a bigger problem.
"A lot of people live in houses that are too small for the family living there, and they're just not good places to live and its a pretty big problem in the United States, so we like to get out here and really be in your face," said Buell.
The money raised will go toward a new house the group wants to build. They raised about $4,500 last year, and they hope to raise $5,000 this year.
