Low Donations Keep Salvation Army Bells Ringing
With more people shopping online, fewer are passing the kettles.
"I would assume so, if there's less people going into stores then there's less people going past kettles. Kettles are an impulse thing so if you dont see it you dont do it," said Captain Dan Ortman, head of kettle collection.
Leaders hope generous shoppers will be out in full force with Christmas around the corner in order to reach their goal. Right now, the Salvation Army is less than halfway to their goal of $275,000.
