Macon County Deputies Arrest Two for Multiple Burglaries

MACON - Macon County Sheriff deputies arrested two men on Monday involved in October and November burglaries. Deputies arrested 24-year-old Darren J. Ellis of Macon for two counts of second degree burglary and two counts of theft and stealing of property or services more than $500, but less than $25,000.
They also arrested 28-year-old Travis Palmer of Macon for two counts of second degree burglary, two counts of theft and stealing of property or services more than $500, but less than $25,000, and receiving stolen property.
Palmer and Ellis are both in custody with $9,990 cash-only bonds. Their arrests come after the department conducted investigations of the burglaries that occurred at a residence on October 22 and at a business on November 17. Deputies recovered large quantities of tools, hunting gear, household items and numerous firearms.
