ST. LOUIS - The U.S. Attorney's Office announced Wednesday that 35-year-old Billie J. Spaid was indicted on charges involving his alleged posession of child pornography in December 2010.

Spaid was indicted by a federal grand jury on two felony counts of possession of child pornography. He appeared in federal court earlier today.

If convicted, each count of the indictment carries a maximum penalty of ten years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000. In determining the actual sentences, a judge is required to consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, which provide recommended sentencing ranges.

As always, charges set forth in an indictment are merey accusations and do not constituate proof of guilt.
