Macon County Man Indicted On Federal Child Pornography Charges
ST. LOUIS - The U.S. Attorney's Office announced Wednesday that 35-year-old Billie J. Spaid was indicted on charges involving his alleged posession of child pornography in December 2010.
Spaid was indicted by a federal grand jury on two felony counts of possession of child pornography. He appeared in federal court earlier today.
If convicted, each count of the indictment carries a maximum penalty of ten years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000. In determining the actual sentences, a judge is required to consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, which provide recommended sentencing ranges.
