Mahomes leads late comeback as Chiefs stay perfect
DENVER - The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Denver Broncos Monday night, 27-23.
The Chiefs trailed 23-13 late in the fourth quarter, but quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the high-flying Kansas City offense came storming back.
With a little over six minutes remaining on the clock, Mahomes hit tight end Travis Kelce on a quick screen to bring the Chiefs within three.
After a stop by the Chiefs' defense, Mahomes and the offense took the field on the Kansas City 40-yard line. Mahomes went 6/8 on the drive, which culminated in a four-yard touchdown rush by Kareem Hunt.
Overall, Mahomes was 28/45 with 304 yards in the air and two total touchdowns. Kareem Hunt also had a big night, rushing for 121 yards and one touchdown on 19 carries.
The Chiefs improved to 4-0 on the season. They are back in action Sunday afternoon, as they host the 3-1 Jacksonville Jaguars.
