Mamtek to Bring 300 Jobs to Moberly
Governor Nixon is expected to announce a multi-national company will be opening a new manufacturing plant at 10 a.m. Friday.
Mamtek Corporation, a Chinese based manufacturer of artificial sweetener, is the new company coming to Moberly.
According to a statement from the Midwest U.S. China Association, Mamtek will create more than 300 jobs over the next 18 months, with an initial investment of 46 million dollars to the local economy.
Former Missouri Governor Bob Holden is the chairman of this group and played a key part in selecting Moberly as the site of the new plant.
Nixon, along with other community leaders, are expected to make the announcement in the auditorium of Moberly Area Community College.
