Man Admits to Ongoing Molestation Case

On Friday, January 13 Jimmie Lee Cuno, 52, of Columbia admitted his involvement of child abuse and molestation to the Centralia Police Department who then arrested him. The two victims at the time of the acts were less than ten years old but older than five.

The Centralia Police Department was contacted by the Regional Child Advocacy Center as the victims reported some of the acts to have occurred in Centralia within 2010.

Later on the Friday of Cuno's arrest, The Centralia Police Department, submitted a Ten Count Probable Cause Statement to the Boone County Prosecutors Office. A Boone County Circuit Court Judge, signed a Three Count Arrest Warrant, for Child Molestation in the First Degree. Child Molestation in the First Degree is a Class "B" Felony. Cuno, is currently held in the Boone County Jail on a One Hundred Thousand Dollar Bond.

The investigation is on-going, and any further information will be released by the Boone County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
